A Lip for the Lucky

IMG_1404

You guys! It’s Saint Patrick’s Day! I have to admit I’m incredibly guilty of taking to this day for celebrating all things green (and maybe sometimes alcohol related) and should probably do more research and celebration of Irish culture. Maybe it’s not all leprechauns and pots of gold and getting pinched for lack of wearing green – but – let’s all do our research and learn while simultaneously wearing green and having a pint, shall we?

Now, I’m not much of a fan of beer. A green liquid lippie or seaweed cleanser though? All over it.

Green is a fairly rare color to encounter along the makeup counter outside of eyeshadow – and even then, it is most commonly found in emerald, dark gem tones and not grassy hues. Shoot, until recently, it was scarce as a liquid lip to begin with!

The greens that I was able to locate in my stash all boast a bit of blue, or a lot of bits of blue. I swatched some here. Let me know what you think of them, and if you have any St. Patty’s Day traditions or any green in your stash!

A lot of these colors have teal pop up in the description of the color. Blackened or darkened teal/green mixes is what seem to be popping up in the descriptions.

Have more greens? Give me a shout below!

p.s. How adorable is the Who’s Your Paddy hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works?!
