So two days off from MOJ was enough y’all.

With 2009 well under way, this is definitely the year for things to happen and big things have been happening.

This is serving as an update post so that you know I haven’t been slackin!!

1. Thanks so much to all the followers, readers, and subscribers. Your attention and support is never forgotten!
2. The schedule for MOJ is changing effective immediately. This is because I have so much more content to post, and find that the schedule I have put into effect is a little limiting. The only series to stay are Misc Mondays, Talk It Out Tuesdays, and Magazine Weekend. I still plan to keep Reviews & Ladies n’ Gents of the Jury but that will be on a more random schedule. The Blog Review feature will no longer be on MOJ – occasionally I might put in a couple of links… but otherwise you will have to look to the ‘Shared Posts‘ on the left sidebar (I update it frequently!).
3. Fast on the heels of a very successful Bloggin’ Beauts get together, I have started a separate blog to promote the past event and future upcoming events as well. Check it out when you get the chance – who knows? we might have a get together next time you’re in NY!
4. There are big things coming for Miss Yaya. Big things in the plans and hard work. Selling Arbonne. Bloggin’ Beauts party planner. Featured/Guest editor. MUA gigs. and more… Stay tuned!
5. The month of August will not be a contest. The month of August will be a month of giveaways! Get ready y’all – it is no joke!

6. My Birthday is coming up in weekssss! Sept (23) y’all… so you know that month will be amazing as well.

I don’t always take out my contacts, and sometimes I overdo the bronzer.

My hurr. My eyes. My lips. My waist… Look y’all – I’m happy with the way my momma brought me into this world.

There’s no one icon that stays through the years. Just inspirations. Beyonce and Nicole Richie for now I’d suppose.

What beauty product makes you feel instantly sexy?
Mascara and high shine gloss.

How do you look after your skin?
Moisturize moisturize moisturize – you also need to exfoliate and drink aqua!

What is your signature scent?
Chance by Chanel and Lolita by Lempicka are always restocked – no matter the year or season.

What are your haircare secrets?
I don’t wash it every day.

How do you pamper yourself?
I shop till I don’t have no mo money!

What is your beauty pet peeve?
Overdoing it – no one needs to have bright pink with bright blue makeup on unless they’re the smurfs or troll dolls. Really.

What would your desert island must haves be?
A computer, fully stocked fridge, lip gloss, and an AC. Does that sound like a lot??

Finally, do you have a beauty philosophy?
Be thankful for what you’ve been given. Be confident with what you have. When you’re down, fake it till you make it!

So clearly, there needs to be an apology on my part for lagging and being away – but sometimes a girl needs some personal time. I don’t know if I’ll be dipping in and out again, but I sure will try to schedule posts to keep you entertained when I’m feeling out of it!

As always – as with everyone and everything, this blog is a work in progress. I am constantly trying to improve it, and if you think of something I haven’t thought of yet – give me a shout!

Watch as the class of 1939 visits for their 70th high school reunion and meet up with their fourth grade teacher – age 105. God bless them all, I want to live for over a century and to go to my high school’s 70th and 80th reunions – although I bet the crowd starts thinning from then on…
