Hello my lovely readers!

So as you all have read from a previous post, I am having some health troubles at the moment and they are eye related. I am spending most of my days going back and forth between doctor appointments, so my posting (if any) is not according to schedule, and not daily (which is my usualy modus operatus). Sorry for whatever inconvenience it may cause but my health comes first.

Thanks for the readership – I will make sure to post up tidbits here and there not to leave you starving, but in the meantime – check out my blog list and article lists on the sides for interesting readings, and keep checking back to see all the new changes I am adding to the blog.

What changes? Okay, okay, I’ll give you a peek:

1. I am starting to do a more general weekly schedule for posts: here are most of them:

–Misc Mondays (Mondays)
–Let’s Review (Wednesdays)
–Ladies & Gents of the Jury (Thursdays)
–Blog Review (Fridays)
-Magazine Weekend (Sat&Sun)

2. The sidebars are awake and a-moving with different banners (ads/discounts/my birthday countdown for SEPT hehe).

3. Did y’all really forget about the contest?! Everything is still on schedule and I am excited to see what everyone thinks of. Remember that the deadline is April 20, 2009. See the rest of the guidelines and details here.

Swapping

Hey y’all

1- This is so WAY overdue b/c I got this more than a week ago from Rai but a lot of personal things came up and I didn’t get around to posting about it. Here is what she sent me from our swap:

2- From reading a lot of people’s blogs – there seems to be a blog swapping problem going on. I just have to say that I’m glad it hasn’t happened to me (sorry for being selfish lol) and now I am skeptical to swap with any new people. I know that through my two swaps that I have done, both were successful, and otherwise I like to send “care” packages for birthdays/just because, mostly with samples and stuff that I think others will like. That and my contest winners who have received packages from me. So in the meantime I believe I will have to be super careful if I engage in any new swaps. Good luck to everyone who had trouble with it!

Sorry for the lack of posts, I’m going through a spell of not feeling so … well (rhymes hehe) and I didn’t have anything scheduled to post other than the contest guidelines.

I will prob need to head to the doc so don’t expect too much movement over here this week. I might schedule some posts but don’t get fussy if I don’t respond to e-mails/comments that quickly.

All Dolled Up

Pretty much what it says. Use any doll inspiration to create anything from a makeup look to an all out getup, etc. Put on your thinking caps and use some imagination everyone! You can use anyone from Barbie, Cabbage Patch, Bratz, American Girl, Simpsons, HK, Nesting Dolls (also matryoshkas), to the Bride if Chucky or Chucky himself if you wish. My examples are meant to be just that EXAMPLES. Do not LIMIT yourself with my suggestions.

Now for the rules:
  1. There must be at least three pictures – 1 – inspiration – 2 – your look – 3 – what you used.
  2. You must post the look on your blog/page. If you do not have a blog, shoot me an e-mail so that we can work something out.

  3. E-mail me at missyaya@ymail.com to let me know what the link to your contest entry is. Also- enter a quick note about letting me use your images for when I post all entries. This is b/c I do not want to risk anything w/my computer and will not be opening e-mails with attachments, unless that is what we mutually agree on.

  4. Entries must be posted before/on April 20, 2009. I don’t want to mess around with time zones, so all I know is this: On Tues 4/21/09 I will be posting all entries at 10am my time (NYC). This will give everyone ten days for judging – so hustle hard. I am not sure if I will decide on the winners by poll or by post/e-mail, but I will let you all know.

  5. There will be a first place prize and a second place prize.

As I have stated previously, I would like to run a contest monthly. If you have suggestions for a new contest, or have feedback for the contest or the rules, you know what to do. My e-mail address is widely available on this here blog. 🙂

So since starting the blog I began to feel like the readers/commenters are fam. So I have a confession. I’ve got a dilemma. I’m in the same situation as Rihanna… What should I do?

Allright so don’t hate me. Y’all are too nice, so I couldn’t keep the joke running too long. Furthermore, I know domestic abuse is not a laughing matter BUT in my defense I didn’t say that.
