Ladies and Gents of the Jury – The White Liner

It’s time for court again, and today we will be discussing the precedent of white eyeliner. Used as a decorative liner to ‘open up your eyes’ when used for the waterline, the liner should give you a bit of a doe eyed, mod lady look.

I like to use a bit of white shadow stuck in the inner corners of the eyes, because using white liner on my waterline makes me look odd. As far as actually lining your lids with white liner? Hmm, that’s a bit odd for me.

Chanukah Giveaway Day 5

Packing makeup with the Z Palette

I’ve previously mentioned the ease of combining your favorite makeup with the Z Palette, but I really put it to good use when I started packing for my trip.

Check out all the goodies I packed away into my Z Palette. I posted my review of the palette here. I managed to fit NARS (middle row left ), Inglot (bottom row left), Makeup Forever (top row), Stila (half pan middle row right), Estee Lauder (tiny rectangles, middle row), Tarte (squares on bottom row right), and Yaby (tiny circles) into it. That would’ve taken me six separate palettes from each brand if I didn’t have my Z Palette with me. I wrapped it in bubble wrap, and when I come back I will let you know if we traveled safe together or not!

Chanukah Giveaway Day 4

Day Four and as this post is scheduled to post, I am hopefully relaxing on a beach far far away from the frigid weather I escaped for a bit under two weeks.

Even though my family is Jewish, growing up (more my family than me) in the Soviet Union, we have kept up with the tradition of keeping a Christmas tree in the house. But in Russian, it’s called a New Year’s tree and frankly, holds no religious affiliation. Our tree has various colors and the house is decorated with a Menorah and plenty a polar bear and snowman. The liner is thin but is super creamy and is perfect for the waterline. I like using it for the outer corner of my eyes for a nonsmudge effect. Of course, it is great for lining your lids as well, and for a quick smokey eye if you use a shader right after lining.

Chanukah Giveaway Day 2

It’s the second day of me holiday and I’m lighting up my candles while in warm company of Barbados. The Biblically noted miracle of light that lasted eight days made me think of what would be an appropriate gift for giveaway. Something that adds plenty of light to your life, eh? Well I thought of my most favorite gel liner and of course I thought of Stila and their 24kt Goldern Noir Smudge Pot.

Chanukah Giveaway – Day 1

So… I really wanted to start singing “on the first day of Chanukah, Miss Yaya gave to me…” but then I wasn’t going to sing it and upload it… soooo… here’s what’s up for the first day!

Chanukah Giveaways

As some of you may know, I am Jewish. So when lots of people start humming Silent Night, I am bouncing along with Adam Sandler‘s Eight Crazy Nights. Being around so many people that celebrate Christmas though, I got used to giving out gifts later than what I was used to. But this year? Well this year I have my own blog, and for y’all that don’t celebrate Chanukah, this will get you some extra X-mas gifts!
