Judge This! Male

This week, for the Ladies and Gents of the Jury series, I wanted to put a spotlight on the males. If we’re going to judge – we cannot discriminate!

Originally I wanted to solely do it about the male performers at Hot 97 Summer Jam 2009, but after looking through photos, there really isn’t that much diversity. Click here if you want to check the photos out for yourself.

Here’s what y’all really need to get a verdict in for:

Remember Jesus Luz? Madonna‘s boytoy?

He snagged the D&G campaign (all the way to the right) along with plenty other hot and current names, but the whispers all around are that nobody likes him in this shoot. I think it is mostly the placement of him in the photo that looks awkward and admittedly photoshopped.

LG of the Jury!

Welcome back Ladies & Gents of the jury!

Today we’ll be deciding on who rocked out the MTV Movie Awards best from the selected ladies. Though I do have to admit I did not watch the awards, you don’t have to do much to judge!

The ladies are as follows: Audrina, Hayden, Kristin B, Kristin S, Leighton, Ashley, Megan, Sienna, Miley, Vanessa.

Who do you think is guilty? Who rocked it out?

Peaches Geldof

Straight from the Catwalk Queen’s mouth!

I have never followed Peaches Geldof, and I didn’t really have an opinion on her to begin with. She just never entered my radar I guess you can say.

I am really impressed with her photo shoot for the Ultimo’s knickers collection. I didn’t know she had all those tattoos. Above all, I’m loving the retro/pin-up lingerie and the photoshoot results.

So in our adult version of Swimfan, we have Miss Larter vs. Mrs. Knowles-Carter vying for senor Elba. Personally I have been jokingly in a huff and puff that they just had to antagonize race by pitting a black woman and a white woman against each other, and why couldn’t they just pick 2 multiracial actresses, but really… I’m cool. 🙂

What y’all need to is pick up your ballots my fair Ladies and Gentlemen of the Jury, and vote now. Who are you more obsessed about from the Obsessed premiere?

Ladies & Gents!

Guess what came via the postman? The new Harper’s Bazaar! While I may not comment on the contents until the weekend (Magazine Weekend) I will let y’all decide on the cover.

I know there has been bad blood in the media and readers alike about photoshopping recently, and Halle’s newstand cover… HOWEVER what I’m concerned about ahora is that she looks so gooood on the subscriber cover. How smart was I to subscribe? (I just had to take a pic with my phone lol)

If you haven’t heard: many comments have flown left and right about her skin lightening/photoshopped image on the newstand cover. I would like to say that the color they used for the background does nothing to help, and they also changed the lighting to wash her out. They did no such thing on the subscriber cover as you can see here.

What’s most important (lol) is what she’s wearing on the cover that I like… She’s wearing the Dior dress that Eva Mendes wore and I couldn’t stop thinking about (I even took a picture of the dress on my phone… don’t ask)

This season, the Yves Saint Laurent woman basks in the mesmerizing beauty and exoticism of Africa. With warm and radiant contrasting colours, she is bold and beautiful and supremely glamorous.

As far as pricey makeup goes, my wallet is usually less inclined to splurge on it, as much as it is with clothing, food, etc (yummm food!). Usually, I am under the impression that the color and packaging is not so far above par that I should spend double or triple the normal limit that I set. But really… I am loving how they did the model’s makeup… the palettes, the color combo, and thus am yearning to waste my own money? 🙂

Ladies and Gents of the Jury:

May I present to you: Peaches Geldof at the Uniqlo event wearing what the fellow fashion junkies at Jezebel call “clown makeup.” I don’t know if I can agree on the clown title, but I don’t agree with the makeup. To me it’s either goth and overdone with the blush/shadow, or overdone with the white and lacking another color or two…
