I don’t know all about that $100 ya’ll b/c let’s just say… I don’t know and leave it at that lol. I will however try to saunter over there and skip lunch and see what I find! Anyone else going?
Stripped Men – Oh My!
Beauty and the Blog posted about Urban Decay Pocket Rocket lipgloss, and I just had to follow in suit. See here for the post.
Another notable tidbit of the glossy you might have noticed? The semi nude men prancing around in the lip gloss cap (and the glosses are male names)!
Sephora will be selling these suckers (which kind of remind me of the Lorac Mocktail glossies) soon, and neither Sephora nor Urban Decay have the product listed on their sites. For shame!
Found an authorized reseller though if your obsessive hands are itchin’ ya. Look Fantastic got it for ya.

Back to Mac/Hot Pink
I was green and I did my Back to MAC! What did I get? I got the Amplified Lipparoo in Impassioned. It’s super bright, and super creamy, and I love it! Might make me wear lipstick regularly? We’ll see.
The bright colors got to my head and got me acting all silly. Tell me if you’d rather not witness that again 🙂
Gotcha
I know that the media does a lot to mess up situations but really… I hope he has to serve time. I really do.

According to a leaked police search warrant, an argument between Brown and Rihanna ensued after she read a lengthy text message from a woman on Brown’s phone.
He allegedly tried to push her out of the Lamborghini and hit her head against the passenger window.
He then punched her while still driving; blood filled Rihanna’s mouth, according to detectives.
Brown allegedly told Rihanna, “I’m going to beat the —- out of you when we get home.”
Rihanna left a message for her assistant that said, “I am on my way home. Make sure the cops are there when I get there.”
Brown replied, “You just did the stupidest thing ever. I’m going to kill you.”
The fight escalated from there. According to the report, Brown — who was booked on a felony criminal threat charge and released on $50,000 bail — continued to punch Rihanna, bit her ear and fingers and put her in a headlock, causing her to nearly lose consciousness.
Salons w/Happy ending?
Let me rattle your brain a bit –
- Do my own nails unless it’s a special occasion.
- Same goes for toes.
- Color my own hair. Don’t require much styling (love the curls)
- Get my hair cut by a family friend in house.
- Waxing/etc. – my mom does for me (she’s an aesthetician)
But how do you feel about teeth whitening?

Yup, I said it. Teeth whitening in a salon. This seems to be a practice a lot of salons are tintroducing to state legislature and the dental boards aren’t happy.
They say it is uncontrolled (i.e. sterilization, creditation, all sorts of other ations…), and considers it a general “health and safety issue.”
I don’t think I would get my teeth bleached next to someone’s hair or toes… it’s really a personal thing b/c I’m not saying it for any reason other than that.
Check the msnbc.com article right hurrr.
Would you leave your shiners to your salon specialist?
Product Review: Body Shop Mineral Eye Shadow
Went to the Body Shop at the Seaport on my lunch break. (Who needs to eat lunch when there are stores?!) Bought yet another Nature’s Minerals Eye Shadow. Now it’s time for a review.
01 Platinum Shimmer (Silver), 02 Radiant Graphite (Grey/Copper), 03 Golden Emerald (Green) (don’t have/not shown) 04 Pink Opal (Pale Pink), 05 Bronzed Amber (Soft Brown) and 06 Molten Bronze (Chocolate)
Product Review:
Product Story:
Best for: suitable for sensitive skin
How it works:
- Mediterranean clay is an absorbent mineral that helps bind make-up to skin for long-lasting coverage.
- Mica adds luster and has light-diffusing particles to help disguise fine lines.
- Dermatologist-tested with no added fillers, preservatives or fragrances.
Review (5 highest, 1 lowest):
Packaging: 4 out of 5
Price: 4.5 out of 5 ($13)
Quality: 5 out of 5
Overall: 5 out of 5
My Verdict:
When I put on eyeshadow, I don’t always want shimmer, or to be too showy. But this one takes the cake. It’s affordable (4.5 b/c it can be cheaper – ya know?). Take into mind also, that The Body Shop has a rewards program, it’ll even out the price to be cheaper. Some more brownie points for the checklist?
It is – very pigmented – requires one or two swipes at most to convey the color you are going for. It is soft and light on your eyes. It doesn’t smudge easily, and lasts forever. Last but not least? Easy to take off! Hello favorite!
So ladies and gentlemen of the jury? This may not be for everyone because of the kind of product it is. However, if you wear shimmer, or like mineral shadow? Head on over and get you some!

EOTD/Birthdays
Hey kids
In the month of February, I have been to two birthday parties. Both for cute lil’ one year olds. One for a girl and one for a boy. I find it funny that as I think about these looks they are both using similar makeup. Of course, of course – inspiration boards as well!
Take a look and tell me what you think. Don’t forget about the contest up above y’all!

As you can see, I didn’t go over one eye to match the hues, so you have a bright eye and a subdued eye. Oh well – I was late!
